About Me

Ever since I was a little girl, I’ve loved painting, drawing, and letting my creativity flow. Now, I’m lucky enough to see my business—and the businesses of my clients—thrive through the work I do for them. It’s such a rewarding experience!

With over 17 years of professional design experience, I discovered my passion for design while studying at the University of Virginia right here in Charlottesville. So, I decided to move back to this wonderful city! Now, I get the chance to help UVa undergraduates explore their passions and find their way in the design field. I mentor and coach the next generation of aspiring entrepreneurs, future designers, and experts in graphic design, website design, user interface design, user experience design and human-centered design.

HCD stands for Human-Centered Design, and it’s something I bring into every project I work on. I always focus on truly understanding the needs, goals, and dreams of users, clients, and customers, working alongside them to design solutions that really fit their vision, whether for their business or personal life. At HCD Creative, my mission is to help customers share their stories and journeys in their business ventures. Ultimately, I want to see their businesses thrive and succeed. I’m lucky to have long-time clients who return to me for each new project or business venture, and it’s an honor to be part of their journey. I can’t wait to tell more client stories and continue building long-lasting relationships that help support and grow their businesses and brands.

Professionally, I’m currently working with the Centers of Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to redesign and modernize their disease surveillance system, which is used by more than half of the public health departments across the U.S. to track, monitor, and investigate over 120 communicable diseases.

In my free time, I love freelancing and designing all sorts of things—whether it’s creating websites, crafting logos and brands, or working on visual design projects. I also enjoy coaching UVa students on their career paths. Staying connected with the vibrant Charlottesville and UVa community is something I truly cherish!
